Village disputes
31 authored disputes, 62 endings. Villagers gesture while they argue, look at whoever is speaking, and turn to you. The yard remembers what each ruling was about.

The king gave you an order. The peasants gave you a reason.
A free dark-medieval sandbox where you sit in the Captain’s chair. The king sends the orders, the village brings you its problems, and every ruling you make gets its own cinematic replay.
No paywall. No in-app purchases. No nonsense.
The king’s orders arrive by letter, and the king never does. You hold one forsaken region in his name for three months. Whether you actually have the authority you claim is a question the region will test.
Two villagers arrive with a grievance. Thirty-one disputes, sixty-two endings, every speaker with a face, a voice and lip-sync, looking at you. You rule — and the winner gives the final order, not you.
Press F4 and the Reaper stops the clock at the decisive instant. Leave the chair, walk the yard with a free camera, take anyone by the wrist and pose the scene. F6 lets time tick forward one step at a time.
Every ruling gets its own slow-motion, orbiting replay. You earned the angle. Then the next letter arrives.
Everything below is in the current build, version 0.0.6.
31 authored disputes, 62 endings. Villagers gesture while they argue, look at whoever is speaking, and turn to you. The yard remembers what each ruling was about.
A dynamic action camera with orbiting shots, triggered by every sentence you pass. No canned animations — everything is physically simulated.
F4 arms it before the sentence; F5 stops and resumes at any moment; F6 advances a single physics step — twenty milliseconds. Nobody talks while the clock is stopped.
F2 takes the camera off its rail: WASD, E/Q, Shift to hurry, right mouse to look, ten metres of leash from your chair. F1 puts you back exactly where the game would have had you.
Under the free camera, click and hold on a wrist, a knee, the back of a head, and drag. The joints hold. The wheel pushes and pulls; I/K, J/L, U/O tilt, turn and roll.
Every dispute, line, camera cue and staged beat is a data file. Add a thirty-second dispute without touching a line of code — there is a public modding guide.

Above the village of Withy, the Harrow band has held the forest for three years, and not one village has given them up. The king wants order. The villages want the gold wagon. You want the report to say the region did it to itself.
You never meet the king. You speak in his name, you never explain yourself, and the villagers remember every ruling you make. That asymmetry is the game.
“I’ve bought a region with its own money.”
